If I really said everything that was on my mind, man, I think you'd hate me. I see some mediums of advertising as necessary, some I feel are just becoming more in demand because of society. I mean, since when do you go to a bank and see they have a facebook page. Commercials, let's not talk about those. The indirect notion of 'befriending', saving, liking... geez where am I? Now I probably wouldn't ever get on facebook or any social network, for all that matters, if I didn't have a business to promote.
Society is becoming more and more predictable, in a negative way. Materialism, technology are all dominating our society in the most disgusting form. I seem to ride the line without actually being consumed. More and more though I am seeing my peers, admirers and even friends indulge even more in the ideals of SOCIETY, America, this mainstream self indulgence thing we call Twitter and facebook.
I take a deep breathe and ask myself, what am I willing to do to make a living. I'm not going to follow the trends to the point where I lose myself in wandering who cares, how many LIKES did I get, how many friend I've obtained, I mean how selfish would that be. I guess that is the question, because twitter and facebook all breed narcissistic behaviors and I HATE it. I'll browse online, especially after midnight and all you see is hate, self indulging, parties, lust, shame, vanity... o my. I hate to judge my facebook friends but dag, watch what you post when you only think your close friends are watching. If you have 1000 friends, better believe they can all see what you write at some point or another, especially if you don't have privacy settings.
If you get on facebook to seek attention and obtain the most likes-You are a NARCISSIST! I'm not hating though, just reflecting on how far our society has come. Most of my true friends don't even have facebook accounts. I smile when I meet people who don't have a facebook anything.
Ok my semi-rant is over. Believe me I could go for a while longer but I'll spare your eyes of all the extra verbiage. I would advise you to go back to facebooking or tweeting if you don't have an opinion.
Peace to all and good socializing through the sphere of electrical/technilogical diversion!
