The director/producer of "Black Womyn: Conversation with Lesbians of African Descent" was at George Mason University yesterday night. Her full length film is a definite purchase, didn't have the necessary cash to get it but indeed I saw it and asked her some questions. She's a cool, down to earth person that has a passion for telling stories. I can dig it because that's what I love to do too. She's worked six years to get this project going and it's a brilliant project. As I was watching clips off of youtube while I was in Oklahoma I wanted more. I told her that too; even suggested she visit Oklahoma. There are many oppressed LGBTQ youth and adults there. So my friend Corrine hosted the event and next she's trying to host Hanifah, better believe I'm there. Anywho I got some advice, met a cool chica and reunited with friends I hadn't seen in a while. Good day!
